Functional fitness scoring

Functional fitness competition scoring software

ScoreBX is competition scoring software built by people who actually run functional fitness competitions. Configure how every workout is measured, how ties are broken and how events are weighted — then publish results live while the floor is still running.

Free for up to 20 athletes. Pay per competition — no subscription.

Built around how functional fitness workouts are actually scored

A throwdown rarely has one kind of workout. You might open with a for-time chipper that has a time cap, move to a max-load lift, run an AMRAP, then finish with a final that should count for more than the rest. Spreadsheets struggle with that mix, and generic tournament tools do not understand it at all.

In ScoreBX, each event is built from score components. A component has a type, and the type decides how it is entered and which direction ranks better. Lower times beat higher times; more reps, heavier loads and longer distances win. You define the components once and every score entered for that event follows the same rules.

  • Time (lower is better)
  • Reps
  • Weight / load
  • Distance
  • Calories
  • Points

Time caps, capped scores and tiebreakers

For-time workouts with a cap need two things handled correctly: athletes who finish, and athletes who are capped with a rep count. ScoreBX lets an event carry more than one component, so a time and a rep total can sit together and be ranked in the order your rulebook defines.

Tiebreakers are ordered. You can use a recorded tiebreak time, a secondary component, or another rule, and ScoreBX applies them in sequence until athletes are separated. DNF, DNS and event disqualification are recorded as outcomes rather than fake numbers, so they rank consistently instead of relying on someone remembering to type 9999.

Scoring models and weighted finals

Once every event is ranked, the overall leaderboard needs a scoring model. ScoreBX supports simple position scoring, fixed-gap descending points, variable-gap points and fully custom points tables, so you can match the table your athletes already expect.

Event multipliers let a final count double or triple without duplicating the event. That keeps your running order clean and means the leaderboard, the public results page and the TV display all show the same weighted totals.

Penalties and corrections without losing the raw score

Judges miss things and appeals happen. ScoreBX penalties adjust the effective score — adding time, subtracting reps, weight or calories, adding points or disqualifying an athlete from an event — while keeping the originally entered value. Every change is written to the score history, and events can be locked once they are final so nothing moves after results are announced.

From registration list to live results

Import athletes from a CSV exported by your registration platform. The import screen flags duplicate bib numbers, missing names and unusual values so you can fix them before anything is saved. Put athletes into divisions such as Rx, Scaled, Masters or Teens, and each division gets its own rankings.

When scores are confirmed, publish them. Your public leaderboard updates automatically, athletes follow along on their phones and a venue screen can show standings on the big TV. You control whether each event is hidden, live or final.
